One year after the successful launch, Leggero sets a new standard with its latest model: The Leggero Vento convinces in the technical tests (TÜV SÜD) with consistently positive results – and does it at an unmatched, low sales price

TÜV SÜD Product Service GmbH tested the Leggero Vento 2010 according to the test programme PPP 50036:2010. This programme is based on pertinent standards and comprises both mechanical as well as chemical-biological tests of all constructions and materials. In particular, the programme examines the factors relevant to traffic safety such as strength, and driving and crash behaviour – from tipping hazard through resilience of the aluminium tray, and stability of the rollbar, right to reliability of the locking brake and secure handling of the coupling system. Additionally, the experts also checked the plastic and textile parts – especially the plastic window sheeting – for their chemical content, as well as checking the seat suspension.

Quality at a fair price
The Leggero Vento successfully passed all 2010 tests and attained the GS mark. This proves that quality does not necessarily always go hand in hand with high prices. Brüggli makes consistent use of online sales, and offers the Leggero Vento 2010 direct from the factory for 555 francs. Anyone who orders three at once, for example with neighbours or friends, even pays only 444 francs per trailer. A comparable product from competitors costs around twice as much in special shops. With more than 1000 Leggero Ventos sold last year (NB with very little advertising), the manufacturers in Romanshorn view this as an endorsement of their sales model: the best quality at the best price.

Made in Switzerland
Brüggli developed the Leggero Vento together with the engineers and designers of the Swiss company, Tribecraft. The Leggero Vento is manufactured in Romanshorn, and assembled ready for shipping. It is ready for use in a few minutes after only a few steps, and can be used as jogger and as transport trailer. Included in its merits is a large trunk, with a capacity to hold two full shopping bags, without encroaching on comfort in the passenger area. Even more room can be made by folding down the two seats.

Safe and strong
The two seats have individual suspension, and cushion the weight of the small passengers individually – an important difference compared to competitors’ models, which make use of wheel suspension. The 5-point belt system can be adjusted to adapt to different body sizes. Thanks to the large viewing window, the children have a good view of what is going on around them, and can be seen better from the outside. Moreover, the amount of freedom for the legs in the passenger space makes a difference in driving enjoyment. And thanks to the ten-year replacement parts guarantee, the Leggero Vento continues to provide enjoyment even after the children have grown out of the age suitable for riding in the trailer.

Pioneer with more than 20 years experience
In 1989 the Leggero was Europe’s first children’s trailer for bicycles. Ridiculed at first, then admired, Brüggli sold over 100,000 Leggeros. Ten-year-old or even older Leggero models are still in use on the road today. Now, the pioneer is back – with the Leggero Vento, which sets new standards in price and quality.
